Why am I seeing this?
Proposition 65 is a California law that requires businesses to notify consumers if a product contains even trace amounts of over 900 regulated substances. Many of these substances occur naturally in the soil and water where botanical ingredients and herbs are grown.

Does this mean the product is unsafe?
No. A Prop 65 warning does not mean a product violates any FDA safety standard. California's Safe Harbor thresholds are often significantly lower than federal safety guidelines - the Prop 65 limit for lead, for example, is set far below the level that federal agencies associate with any observable health effect.
